Various Size Flash Butt Welded Steel Rings

Profile Metal Forming manufactures steel wire rings to order in a wide range of sizes. All rings are formed from cold or hot drawn Industrial Quality Steel Wire and are closed using a proprietary flash butt weld process. The rings are used in a wide variety of applications ranging from grinding wheels to large pipe seal reinforcements.

Ring Size and Tolerances
Profile's wire diameter capability is from 1/4" to 5/8". Ring internal diameters can range from 6" to almost any size. Rings have diameter tolerances of plus 1/8", minus 1/16". Flatness tolerances range from 1/32" for small diameter rings to 1/4" for rings larger than 51".

Note: Flatness is defined as any gap between the finished ring and a flat surface, measured with the weld itself extended over the surface edge.
